Do you ever wish you could freeze time?

As a mom of two small children, I am often told “enjoy every moment!” “you will blink and your kids will be headed off to college!” “treasure this time when your kids are little, it passes so quickly”…

And, even though my oldest is only 6, I KNOW these statements are all too true…I mean, wasn’t he JUST a chubby 1 year old??  We all know that this season of life passes quickly.  But, sometimes it is HARD to enjoy every moment, especially when many moments include fussy babies or toddler tantrums.

This is why I love photography.  I am thankful for the photographs to remind me of those sweet newborn snuggles, the gummy smiles, and the toddler belly laughs.  Because I know that if I was left to rely on my sleep deprived, bleary-eyed memory alone, I would probably mostly remember 2 am feedings, teething, and diaper blow-outs.

Every year since my son was born I have made it a priority to have family pictures taken.  I print my favorite on a 16x20 canvas and they hang in a grouping going up our stairs.  As I look at each one and marvel in how much our family has changed, I am transported back to each particular stage of life.  From the chubby baby with irresistibly fat cheeks, to the proud big brother and brand new baby sister, to the wobbly toddler just learning to walk, to the shy 2 year old that was glued to me for the entire session…each picture is a perfect representation of our family!

Let me help tell the story of YOUR family… from births to newborns to couples celebrating their 65th anniversary (and every milestone in between)…

This is your life.  Let me help capture it.

Xoxo,  Kim
