Drayton {Greenville Senior Session}

Many of you probably don't know that I used to be a teacher.  I have a degree in Elementary Education from Clemson.  I was hired to teach 1st grade after graduation, and during my first year of teaching got an early education add-on certificate from Anderson University.  Before Matthew's job moved us to France I taught 1st grade at Palmetto Elementary in Anderson District 1.  I taught with an amazing group of educators and remain close to many of them to this day. When one of the teachers from our 1st grade team reached out to me to take senior pictures of her son, I was happy to say yes!  I don't do a lot of seniors, but when I do....I always think "I need to do these more often!".  Seniors are SO easy!  Well, compared to the normal toddlers that I am chasing around and acting a fool in order to get a smile...  It's almost surreal.  I tell a senior where to stand, where to look, where to put their hands, smile, not smile, etc, etc, etc...and THEY DO IT.  Like, on command!  No goofy jokes, no peek-a-boo, no pretend sneezes.  Sigh.   It is magical.

It is still hard to believe Drayton is about to graduate from high school.  He was a first grader my 2nd year of teaching!  How did he get so big???  Because, I know I personally haven't aged a day since then...
